Ceramic brackets are tooth-coloured or transparent and therefore very discreet.

The brackets are attached to the front of the teeth using special adhesive technology to provide the necessary starting point for moving the teeth.

RAPID PALATAL EXPANDER

Rapid expansion of the upper jaw is easy to achieve with children.

An upper jaw that is too narrow can often lead to a crossbite, where the teeth on one side of the jaw do not bite together correctly. A crossbite can be corrected by widening the upper jaw.

The bones of the upper jaw are joined together by flexible sutures. The two halves of the jaw are separated by a suture, the so-called ‘sutura palatina mediana’. This only fuses after puberty, meaning that children can benefit from easy and virtually pain-free early treatment to achieve rapid expansion of the upper jaw. A positive side effect is that expansion of the upper jaw also improves nasal breathing.

COMBINATION TREATMENTS
